Refuses to Exchange Gift for Larger Size

I receieved a lovely DH jersey for my birthday.
Since it was a gift, i did not receive a Slip as proof of purchase.

The manager informed the person who bought it, that they can just leave the tag on the jersey should i need to exchange for a bigger one.
Upon taking the jersey to exchange for larger size, the manager informed me about the pathetic company policy that does not allow for certain exceptions... as the only time they exchange is when a slip is provided.

Its unfortunate.
I will no longer purchase anything from this store, due to the principle behind the way they do business.

I feel it is terribly rude to ask the person that bought you a gift for the slip.
So i would much rather throw the DH jersey away. Or give to a homeless person thats in need.

It is for this reason that some customers refuse to open up accounts with your organization.

Truworths Mangement needs to provide better customer expriences.
