WRONG PRICING ON CLOTHING - AGAINST CONSUMER ACT

I went to Truworths today, i wanted to buy a pair of Jeans that was marked off from R380 to R150 and the marked down another 25% to R110. That is what is displayed on the price label. I get to the counter to pay, when the lady scans the barcode her system throws out R170. So she calls her store manager, Elsie i think her name is, tells her that the price on the system and on the price tag differs. Now we all know, or should know that according to the consumer protection Act, a retailer / supplier needs to charge you for an item at the advertised price. The advertised price was R110. That is what i am supposed to pay. She says we are just human we also make mistakes. Im sorry i apologise but i cant give it to you for R110. They refused to change it on the system. This is utter nonsense. I told them that i am going to complain at head office. All the same pants that i wanted to buy was marked at R110. It is illegal to charge a client more than what is advertised on the price tag. I am disgusted. I am never supporting Truworths in Irene again. Where i used to spend about R1400 per month. That is R16 800 you will be losing a year. I am going to let this spread on social media for sure
