P&P refuses to honour their scan right policy

Shops, Products, Services

Today I was about to purchase 4 bottles of wine and chicken. All 4 bottles of wine scanned at the incorrect price.
The manager told me that the scan right policy does not apply to wine because, according to the liquor act, they may not give wine away for free. I asked to see that clause but he said he would have to email it to me, but did not ask for my e-mail address. On the policy board it says ANY item, and below it says "liquor law applies". It does NOT say "excluding liquor". I know he is lying because I have bought wine there before that was "scanned right" and have the receipt to prove it. (which I showed him) He said this was an error on the part of staff. I have complained about their bar coding before and have been ignored. If I wanted to, I could have put as many as 20 bottles in my trolley, that's how out of date their bar coding is. I have the list in the manager's handwriting as follows: Diemersfontein summers R84.99 scanned as R94.99, Cas del Diablo R69.99 scanned R74.99, Landscroon PDV Reserve R84.99, but R89.99 and Rust and Vrede Cabernet R249.99 but R279.99. If this is not resolved to my satisfaction, my next action will be the consumer columns of various papers.
