I have had an account with Truworths for about 5 years now and generally I have made the required payments on time (of late I have paid more than required). This month I have not been able to make the payment of R80 as I was waiting for money that was due to me, with the intention of paying this and more as soon as the money was received. I assumed that Truworths would realise that they always get paid and have no issue with this, however, I have been bombarded with sms's and phone calls about this payment. I have now made a payment of R200 to Truworths and as soon as I possibly can I will pay the remaining R200 odd rand and I will be closing my account and I will never do business with Truworths again as I am sick and tired of the harrassment. I have an account of many years with Foschini and they NEVER bombard you like this for missing one payment.
I spoke to a collections agent a few minutes ago and she didn't care at all that Truworths would be losing a customer. Whilst I understand the need for debt collecting I think all circumstances should be taken into account when a single payment is missed.
