Waited over an Hour for service

I purchased two shirts and on opening the one shirt from the packaging three buttons fell off. This was a defective product for which I had to set aside a half day to return the defective product to the store. On arrival I waited about 5 minutes to be served by the customer services agent. I requested that I wanted the shirts exchanged and for me to be compensated for the additional time I had to spend getting the defective shirt replaced. They contacted the department manager Khabo who arrived after 10 minutes and stated that he cannot compensate me with a voucher or additional shirt. I then asked him that I want to escalate the matter to the store manager. He agreed and informed me that he could not get hold of him on the phone and will go to his offices to locate him. Willem duly arrived almost 50 minutes later and informed me that he will not be able to assist and took of with me for undermining Khabo. I informed him that I had a similar experience at the Sandton Edgars and was compensated accordingly. He informed me that his policy was different to Edgars policy and that is why he will not be assisting me and I can report him to Head office.
