I have not been employed for a long while and make every effort to pay my debit orders to Russells every month. But every month regardless, I get either threatening phone calls from their collection agents and or from the company to say my account is now in the final legal stages. Why??? Why is my account so high due to interest even though I pay an extra R200 on top of my normal installments. I get asked if my husband (I am single) or a friend cannot help me to pay my account up to date. I cannot believe that a company who is GETTING paid would harrass a paying client, I have to sell what I can of my possessions just to pay them and yet this is the way I get dealt with MONTHLY! I was told that I would have paid an amount when taking out this debt with the company that would cover me for unemployment and or damages. I have never explored this avenue and when I spoke to one lady about the fact that the furniture is hardly used but the locks and keys were falling off I was told due to being in arrears that my insurance I had paid for was null and void. I would like a response to my complaint and answers to my questions from Russells.
