Return Policy a contravention of CPA!

On Saturday morning I purchased a coffee table set and large silver vase from Coricraft in Design Quarter. Later that day when I got home I realised that the vase was not a good match for the space, luckily I had purposefully confirmed the return process with the staff at Design Quarter - I could return the items within seven days provided I had the original receipt. Keeping this in mind I called them to confirm their closing time, 5pm. Only Sandton City stayed open until 6pm, I called ahead to confirm and drove from Midrand to return the vase.
Did you know that they will not give you a refund on the spot? It has to go to Head Office for approval! I sure didn't know that and nor was I told. To make it worse I did not have my banking details with me so I e-mailed them when I got home. Sunday morning the agent (Selloane Mabote) tells me no - I need to sign a form before it can be processed. What an inconvenience to find a scanner!
What upsets me the most is that no one told me the "FULL" process and I was sent from pillar to post. Not what you would expect from a store with the supposed standards of Coricraft.
