I have never experienced good service at the Rosebank Mall branch of @home, and yesterday was no exception. I went to return/refund a product. I purchased a hot water bottle as a gift, and when opened found that it had not cap - hence making it completely useless. The manager at Rosebank told me she does not have the product and I have to go back to Killarney. I asked if she could not then give me a refund. Because I had no slip she said she is unable to help, and insinuated that I was just being difficult and lying about not having a slip. How is it possible that a nationwide company can't look up an account purchase on their system? Why is it my problem when a store sold me a defective product? What if the person who received the gift took it back? She would not have had a slip either. The manager's blunt refusal to help me, and condescending attitude made me want to close my @home account. A message sent to their facebook page also rendered no response. @home, you ruined my day.
