I tried buying a kids outfit on sale, made-up of a knitted jersey, some corduroy pants and booties. Where these items hung it clearly says " 30% discount- while stocks last". When rang up the jersey was not discounted. All the cashier said was "the machine does not say so'. So calling the manager, the two went to look at the shelves where the item came from. On return the manager tried to give an excuse. After a huge debacle, where she wouldn't budge on their mistake and me threatening to go to the media she called another lady. Together they realise their mistake. Right there and then they just switched the items around and started explaining about certain items are 20% and others are 30%. I told them that the better give me the discount or else. They then called another Manager!!! He also took so long to decide to actually give me the discount. At the till I requested the cashier to please check that all the items and pricing were correct before ringing it through. Rang twice!! I was told to go to customer care with them for the refund. Having to spend another 20 minutes there and being called an customer with attitude in their native language!! Shocking! A call for competence!!
