A sale is not a sale

Hi, On 07/01/2014 i purchased a school headband set, YG value ballerina shoes and some other stuff from the king shaka airport branch. i got to the till and the cashier (Navika) rang up the items. i asked if the headband set and shoes were discounted and i was told NO. i told her that the rack from which i took the items had a sale sign - 30%. she went to check it out, called an indian guy to confirm the prices and thereafter an african lady. While waiting at the till the african lady came to me to apologise for the misunderstanding and told me that the items are not discounted. i pointed out the sign that says 30% off and she said to me that they are running out of space and hence the items were on that rack. I was furious as it is not my problem that they have no space. i told her that firstly it is misleading the public and secondly what she was going to do about it and she says "sorry there is nothing i can do, the items are not for discounted". i had to have the item credited and walked out of there a very diappointed cutome
