Credit Rating for an account closed 10 years ago!

With a shock I was informed that I have a bad credit rating from Truworths! I closed my account more than 10 years ago! How is this possible? I called their call centre and quoted my account number, and they cannot pick up anything? Other than the account that was ALWAYS in good standing and closed. How on earth can you then list my name?? The call centre was unable to assist and told me to send an email to the Legal department. I did this on 20 May and have heard absolutely nothing. All I want is answers to how this happened, and to have my name cleared ASAP!! A letter of apology would also be in order as I have done nothing wrong, yet you conveniently listed my name?
The entire process is flawed. I am very disappointed and consequently this rating has an impact on my life/future endeavors and financial standing.
