Period to return item for replacement unreasonable

Product faulty, needs to be replaced but Incredible Connection want to send it from Cape Town to Johannesburg to the service centre for repair - Have told them from the start that there is a problem. I am elderley, do not have transport, firstly upon opening box found disc cracked, this had to be fetched and then replaced and then returned to me for installation. Then the paper feeding was poor, the pages came out corrugated. Various phone calls but there seemed to be no solutions. Afraid to copy or print more than one page at a time for fear of paper-jam. Now am told to return printer to Table View (very complicated) and they will sent it to the service centre in Johannesburg who will decide whether to replace, repair or refund - all because its now (through no fault of the customer) more than 10 days since purchase date. Why cannot they send a rep to my address, access the situation and report back to Incredible Connection. I was so excited to get my lovely new laser printer, now I am a very unhappy old lady!!!
