Misleading advertising

I went to the store with a telefunken 32 inch tv brand new (still in original packaging) and wanted to exchange it on the the unwanted gift program they have, cause they have the tv that I want! But the woman told me with an arrogant tone, that if I didn't buy the item from a game they won't help me! Never in my life I'll support them again! Misleading advertising!
