On 07/01/2011 I bought a Sansui 26" LCD TV for R2999.99 from Hi-Fi Corp @ the Glen. The TV had 2 year warranty plus I bought an extended 3 year warranty which cost me an extra R450.00.
In February 2013 the TV starting giving problems so I took to Hi-Fi for repairs, got it back, worked for a few days but the same problem came back and had to take it back for 2nd time. The same scenario happened and took it back for the third time on 24/04/13. Phoned various times and was told still busy with the repairs and eventually got sms to go and collect the TV. I got there and TV was still not fixed, so I spoke to Manager and told him that I wanted a new TV. They told me that they needed to get authorisation which they did and that I would only get R1500.00 credit, as this was the current value of this TV, and would have to pay the difference for another TV or upgrade. I feel this is unfair as this is not my fault, and feel that I should be getting a TV for the same value without having to pay in anything..
