I am astounded by the sheer arrogance displayed by Edgars' accounts department.

Last week my wife tried to transact on my account but was told that the account was blocked as my details needed updating. My wife spent over an hour in the store while waiting for your staff to contact me. There had been NO PRIOR COMMUNICATION. All it would have taken was a simple phone call yet Edgar's have no qualms inconveniencing their customers.

Tonight I tried to make a purchase at a CNA but was told that my card was deactivated because it was old. Again there was NO PRIOR COMMUNICATION that the card needed to be replaced. I was then told that I would need to go into an Edgar's store and have the card replaced. Needless to say I did not make my purchase.

The store manager told me that this has affected thousands of customers and they can't understand why customers were not informed. As I said at the start I am appalled at the pure arrogance and lack of regard for customer service on the part of the accounts department. My card has been replaced but I doubt I'll ever use it again.
