Flies in bread & mice being kicked around

On one trip to do my groceries I noticed that the bread rolls and loaves that were standing on the discount table had flies sealed into the bags and buzzing around. The bag I picked up had 8 buzzing in it. The buzzing from this table was so loud as I walked past that it actually drew my attention. I complained to the gentleman in the bakery and was told that " that is why they are reduced" How sick! At the till I called a manager who told me this was not the first time, and he would sort it out... I was nauseous!!! Last weekend I took my 6 year old with me to do groceries. We noticed a tiny baby mouse in the isle munching on something. My son was quite excited about it as he loves animals. As the checkers assistant walked past us he called her to show her the little mouse. She took her foot and KICKED the little mouse hard as far as she could. It went flying under the shelves. My child is still very upset by this and cannot understand why someone would hurt an animal on purpose like this. I have difficulty explaining this to my son too. I'm quite disgusted and don't think I will support Checkers with my grocery shopping anymore.
