Soiled baby carseat

I went to Checkers Hyper on Sunday 19 May 2013 to purchase a baby carseat. There happened to only be one left which was already unpacked and on the shelf but stained with bird droppings. When I proceeded to pay the cashier insisted to check if they had a new carseat in the storeroom as she noticed the condition of the one I was purchasing and advised that normally the manager will discount the product if they cant find a 'boxed' item. When she returned from the manager she looked embarrassed and quoted the manager as follows "If the customer really wants the car seat with the on it he can pay full price. Why cant he just was wash the seat"
