Samsung tablet cover with keyboard not working

On Saturday the 18th May i bought a cover for my Tablet at oriental city home, atlas, boksburg. I took it home and put it on charge, as per instructions. It did not charge and when i unpluged it the usb socket came out with the plug. I could only take it back today, the 22nd, 4 Days later due to other commitments. I was told they would not replace the item as i requested but would look at it. it was implied That i broke it. I feel that this item should be given a replacement at the very least (what i requested), Not have to wait as i have not been able to use the product and it has not even been a week.
