I had two accounts with Russels. I requested a settlement amount for one account in January 2013. I paid the settlement amount on the 23rd of January 2013. I recieved a call on the 7th of February that my account was outstanding . the person i spoke to gave me an email address and I sent proof of payment by email.By the 14th of February my account was still in arrears. i physcally gave one of the ladies the proof of payment and i kept a copy of it. I did not take that lady's name but she gave a contact number of 011 838 9904 to confirm if the account is cleared. I have called the same number more than 30 times and no one picks it . at the same time i also recieves a call from Russels Head Office that my account is in arrears . i have explained to them and nothing happens. I just obtained my credit record and this amount is still reflecting in my credit record.

Clearly Russels operate like a spaza shop as they never take calls on their business number, and they dont update their records.

If this is not sorted by the end of this week I will have to take legal action as this has a negetive effect on my credit record and I am tired of being called by thecall centre
