Bad manners and a attitude

I had to go to a few shops in centurion mall to do a assignment on how shops display their clothing.. We went to Jay Jays first I wrote down what I saw and my boyfriend took a few photos of the different display racks etc. The manager came to us shouting what do you think your doing. I explained saying its a assignment on the display of the shop. She said why didn't you ask first, do I just come into your house and take photos? That's where my boyfriend jumped in and said this is a public place not a house. She couldn't really answer so I just said never mind we wil leave. We rather should've ask first but her attitude was very unprofessional and gave me a total different view on Jay Jays. All the other shops we went to handled it much differently.
