My TV need to be fixed, shop not willing

Good day, on September 2012 I bought a TV from Morkels Furniture Shop on a 36 months contract. About 3 months back my grandchild was playing outside on the veranda with marbles and he hit the screen of the TV by mistake as the door to the TV room was opened. The screen cracked and eventually went blank, I reported the matter with Morkels telephonically but was told that they could not fix the TV as it broke to our negligence. After some interventions from my daughters they agreed to take the TV and assess it but they are still coming back to me with the same story of negligence. I am paying insurance on the TV and I am only left with one month before I finsh paying for it but it is broken and I believe that that the insurance should do something.
