Mother's Day not so happy

On Sat at 12 I ordered 3 cakes from the bakery. I spoke 2 the sales lady asked her 2 confirm my order with the baker, which she did as I heard her in the background. As I have a mother a stepmother going 2B attending 2 family gatherings (1 large 1 smaller gathering), I ordered a baked cheesecake lemon meringue 4 the larger gathering a lemon meringue 4 the smaller gathering (as these are my moms stepmoms fav's). The lady at the bakery took my number asked what time I would collect on Sun, I told her /- 1pm. I then confirmed again that I was ordering 3 cakes 4 the next day, Sun @ 1pm which she confirmed. When my stepmom went 2 collect the cakes yest. she was informed that there were no cakes that the saleslady shouldn't have taken my order. When I called, I was told cakes take a day 2 cool down. When I asked why they took my order after the baker confirmed it, the response was 'they didn't know it took a day to cool'. I was then offered a large cake that they would cut in half for each gathering. A half a cake 4 each mom on Mother's Day, who would do that? They had my number, why didn't they call so I could make another plan? Bad service attitude from all at spar!
