I experienced very unprofessional, rude and embarrassing behaviour after having the misfortune of being served by the cashier Vincent (Nkosikhona).

I completed payment for my goods and proceeded to the door. The security beeper went off, and the man by the door (who appeared to be senior staff, not a security guard) searched my goods and I presented my receipt. As he was busy, Vincent ran up to us, took one quick look at the items and after appearing visibly shaken, accused me of a Rimmel cosmetic tube.

After calmly explaining that I had indeed placed all my items on the counter for him to swipe and asking them to check the cameras, Vincent persisted in loudly accusing me of hiding the aforementioned product. Everyone was staring at the disturbance that Vincent was causing by trying to look good in front of his superior, instead of listening to a loyal client.

After not having received any apologies, I left the store feeling like the lowest of people. I would strongly suggest sensitivity training for all the staff in the Stellenbosch branch so that they may understand how to treat clients in such a situation, as my experience was absolutely unacceptable.
