Promotions advertised but no stock

In the Game promotion of 2 May to 5 May, there was an electronic safe advertised for R299-00 marked down from R459-00. I went to Lakeside and was informed that they had not received any stock. I tried East Rand mall and was advised the same thing. My wife tried Eastgate and they also had no stock. I put my name down at Lakeside as they told me I would be contacted when the stock arrives and that I could get it at the promotional price. To date I have heard a word. How is it possible that Game can advertise goods on promotion that they don't even have in stock? Is this not false advertising, or is it just the case of a totally incompetent buying and marketing department. This is not the first time I have had this experience with Game. Highly disappointing!!
