Pre-Order rewards not included, poor communication

My wife recently pre-ordered me a copy of Injustice for the Xbox 360 as a birthday present from [URL Removed] In the first order confirmation email she received, it stated:

"Thank you for your purchase of Injustice: among Us Collectors Edition, order number, for Xbox 360.
Your DLC (Downloadable Content) Code for the The Blackest night DLC is: (The DLC code)
Please Note: To redeem your code an internet connection is required.
We've provided a description of the content below:
The DLC is based on the Blackest Night DC storyline by Geoff Johns, in which a Black Lantern Corps power ring brings back various superheroes, including Batman, from the dead and it also includes is a Zombie Mode in which all the characters in the game transform into undead.
We hope you enjoy your game."

Upon giving me my gift we realised that the zombie mode DLC required a separate activation code that should have been included with the order. When my wife asked about this, kalahari support denied that the content was ever supposed to form part of the pre-order.

Eventually after I took them on myself about this matter, I was offered a goodwill voucher which turned out to be R50. I am not satisfied
