I made a lay-bye at The Bed Shop in Walmer for a bed total cost was 3000.00.I put in 1400.00 and then 600.00 so total amount of money that I've paid is 2000.00.
I now decide to cancel the lay-bye because I got a bed somewhere else, I went to them to cancel they said it will take two weeks. I asked the owner if he's got my number so he can give me feedback, and he replied yes. On the second week I called them; I couldn't get hold of the relevant person to speak I then left a message. I called again and the guy I spoke to the previous day said he gave the message to the owner; he will give it to him again. Still no correspondence from him. I called again and I got through to him.

He told me he is not going to cancel the lay-bye, I asked why, he said because it was the last month of the lay-bye. I asked him why is he only telling me that now after waiting to hear from him for 2 weeks secondly there is nowhere in their terms and conditions that it says you cannot cancel a lay-bye on the last month, so if that is their new rule he will have to put it in their contracts because now it is not there - now their lay-bye policy is, should you wish to cancel the lay-bye
