The shops close at 6 pm. I left the P & P just before 6, packed my car and drove to the exit. The machine rejected my parking ticket with the message 'unreadable card'. I pushed the help button and nobody replied. I then tried another 3 exits and got the same message from the machine and no response from the help desk.

I drove back and parked and walked to the information desk. Thankfully there was still someone there. Unfortunately though he had obviously received absolutely no training in customer service whatsoever. He didn't even bother to greet me. I tried to explain to him what had happened. He ignored me completely, took the card from me, checked it and then turned his back on me while I was talking and started up a conversation with someone else.

I then lost my temper completely.

He then informed me that security knocks off at 6. That's useful. He did then find somebody to release me.

As far as I'm concerned it would make sense to have someone in the security office for say 15 minutes after the shops have closed to allow everyone to leave. It would also make sense to train the front office staff to deal with people. I found the 'gentleman' blatantly rude.
