Trying to cancel my ADT contract

On April 16 I mailed ADT after a discussion with someone at their call centre about cancelling my contract. Their service is consistently lousy. Nobody replied to my initial request; I mailed them again today and still have had no reply. Surely it can't be that difficult to cancel a contract?
