Security???

I visited Lincolnwood Office Park today at 10h45 and, as usual, got stopped at the boom gate by your "security" staff. After explaining where I wanted to visit, the guard (to his credit THIS time, as they usually don't) wrote down my registration number and handed me the visitors book to fill in my details.

So, at 10h45 today, a man named PIET POMPIES, representing TEAZERS LOUNGE, with a telephone number of 011 123-4567 visited someone at the office park for the purposes of MURDER... and your guards just let him in without a question. Not only that, but the man was signed out by none other than N. MANDELA that afternoon, which you would have on record had the man not been able to drive out at around 4pm without handing the visitors slip back in.

Now, I'd like some form of explanation of why I should feel that I am secure in that office park when ANYONE can waltz right in and out? What's the point of having the boom gate in the first place?
