Mabotwane's Rude and Arrogant Security at the Cape Town High Court

On 12 June 2019 I went to the Cape Town High Court as I had to see the registrar to file documents for a pre-trial. This was just before 9am on Thursday morning. I asked to go up and the lady security (light of completion with light brown braded hair) called the office and said no one was there. I became frustrated and said then please advise what I must do as I was at court the previous two days without a fruitful outcome. The male security guard told her to go and he will deal with it, she walked away and he started shouting at me - he was beyond rude. I told him not to shout at me and he said that he must shout at me as I don't listen and understand what they are saying. He shouted at me in front of everyone. Bear in mind that I'm the one with a law degree and he probably has a matric certificate, yet given just a little bit of power and a title and he thinks his in the position to abuse that power. This is not how you treat attorneys and candidate attorneys. He has no respect. I called the office to inform them of his rudeness. When I eventually went up, the female security deliberately made me wait for a long period before finally opening the door. The male security complained to the registrar about me. I explained to the registrar what had happened. He then came into the registrar's office and started shouting again - bear in mind that the Judge was in his chamber's when he was performing like this. He shouted that I can't dictate and controle him, that I want to tell him, that I called my office and informed the office of how rude he was and that I pointed my finger at him, which I did when I told him to stop shouting at me and yes I did call the office. I asked him if he can please let me speak which he refused to do and continued shouting. His behaviour was beyond disgusting and absolutely appallingly. To top it off, when I left, that lady security grabed the tag out of my hand. This is unacceptable behaviour and simply shows her level of intellect. They were both plain rude and if this is how they can treat a prospective officer of the court, then I don't dare want to think how they treat the public. Mobotwane needs to train their staff as to how to interact with not only officers of the court but with members of the public. Furthermore, please get staff who have pride in their work and not those who think think they doing you the favour when doing what they get paid to do - I have never encountered more lazy and unhelpful people in my life than the Mobotwane security guards I encountered on Thursday morning at the Cape Town High Court.
