Good day, I've been an ADT customer for 2, 5 years now. Now that my contract has expired, I realised that I was being charged far more than I should have been (R400) when I noticed a promotion by one of your authorised dealers (123 Electronic security) advertising the same alarm set up for R199/month. I contacted ADT head office to inform them that I would like to sign up a new 24 month contract. The consultant told me that I would first need to cancel via email and then I would be able to sign a new contract with the dealer (check the recording). The dealer has now informed me that there is some ridiculous rule stating that they are not allowed to touch an ADT customer before 6 months have passed so they are unable to help me. Infact, here is her email to me:
"We are not allowed to touch an ADT client address until 6 months have passed, there is nothing we can do. He will have to contact head office, it is not that we don't want the business we would gladly take it if we were allowed to do so, we could go and sign a contract and it will just be rejected saying that is in an inhouse address."
Bottom line is either allow me to sign a new 24 month contract, or I'm moving to Londoloza
