Can"t supply proof of contract for months

The day after I had bought a new vehicle, I have phoned to cancel my contract. (13 July 2013) They told me that there is a cancellation fee of R1700 if I cancel before the end of the 3 year period. Because it was an oral contract, I asked them to send the recording because I was under the impression that it was a 2 year contract. While still waiting on the recording, I spoke to Cartract on 6 August, 10 October, 14 November. I have also sent e-mail. I have only received the recording on 14 November, and on the recording the cancellation fee is R1100 and not R1700. I am willing to pay the cancellation fee of R1100, but because it was not my fault that I had to wait months to listen to the recording, I can not be responsible to pay the monthly fee as well as the cancellation fee. I also cannot pay the cancellation fee and then still receive accounts afterwards, I need this account to be sorted out so that I can pay the cancellation fee. I have phoned and Leanne was going to phone me back on this matter, I phoned back after a week (2 December) and wanted to speak to Stanlee Motla (manager) who was going to call me back... but I'm still waiting on his call
