Cant cancel my contract with ADT

I am really hoping that Hello Peter can help, I am trapped within ADTs web, My contract expired in January, but I cannot get rid of them, every month my contract is auto renewed on a month to month basis, making me feel trapped & powerless. I have tried emailing & calling, everyone says the same "they will sort it out", but nothing! Worse than this, every month they keep calling me to pay the bill of the new month, when I explain that I have cancelled the account, the say they want proof, I explain to them each time, I have cancelled, I have emailed and nothing happens. I have now given up emailing. However every call which ADT makes to me on a monthly basis is supposed to be recorded, (in theory 10 calls to date) I ask the person from accounts to please end my account, each tells me they will help me, but nothing changes, month after month they call, Last week I literally begged the woman who called me to please end my account. She told me she would forward to the relevant dept, (they always say this in all 10 calls from ADTs side, to date all 10 phone operators have not helped me)... Nobody ever gets back to me. I feel abused, trapped & violated. Please anyone help.
