Charged to fix a brand new alarm

I was rather disappointed to see that we were charged for the brand new alarm to be repaired. A day after installation, the window sensors stopped working. It took us over a month to get someone to come and fix this. We phoned repeatedly and logged an incident on the website, but nothing. Everytime the alarm was set we had to bypass the windows... what's the point of having an alarm. The worst was that we were actually charged R536 for someone to come out and fix it. This is completely unacceptable. It is a brand new alarm that stopped working a day after being installed, why are we being penalised for this to be fixed. Surely the new alarm should just work?!

I am so fed up with the poor service we've received from ADT since signing up with them in March this year.. We have tried multiple times to get this sorted out, but nothing ever gets done. Kieron Bourne promised me we wouldn't be charged for this, yet the money was deducted from our account. I want this money refunded. When my 2 year contract with ADT is up, I DEFINITELY won't be renewing it. Its been a complete and utter nightmare dealing with these people.
