Chubb absolve themselves for poor installation

Admittedly it is now 11 years ago that I paid a fortune to have a sophisticated alarm system installed at my property.
I am about to sell the property so decided to clean up some weeds in an ungrassed section of the property.
To my horror, I found that pvc conduit, feeding outdoor sensors, had been installed, in the ground at an average depth of about 50 mm and in the place where I severed this conduit, it was covered by no more than about 3 or 4 mm of soil. No soil has been added or removed from the area in question, since the installation took place.

I contacted Chubb, but they totally absolve themselves of any responsibility for this atrocious state of affairs.
They are not even prepared to come out and look at what I am so annoyed about, without charging me with a call out fee. Regardless of the age of the installation, I believe that if they were an honourable organisation, they would at least come to my property to see what I am talking about (free of charge).
I can redo the installation, but believe Chubb should fix their bad workmanship regardless.

This has left me rather taumatised and would in future be complelled to look at a different company for my security needs.
