Everyting not in order at my property

I had a call today from ADT informing me that my alarm was activated at my property but the lady said that a reaction officer was on his way and they will let me know if everything is in order. In the meantime I got into my car and drove to my house in order to check if everything was fine. 15 Minutes later (while still on my way to my house) I got a call again from a lady informing me that my alarm was activated and that a reaction officer was on his way. I told her that I already got a call and she checked the system and said that it just updated and it stated that the officer couldn't gain access but everything was in order from the outside and the alarm went off again. We have high walls and electric fencing at our property so I can understand that the officer cannot gain access to the property but you can see the entire front of the house through the gate. When I got to my house I found the slip from the reaction officer in my gate but the front door of my house was WIDE OPEN!!! He could have seen that very clearly from the road and how could he respond that everything seemed fine at my house??? What am I paying ADT for??
