Cancellation of a Contract NON00153

Dear Hello Peter,

My wife and I moved into a property in Ruimsig and the owner advised us that he had a contract with ADT, he indicated that he will not be able to service the contract whilst we live there, we should take over his contract till it ends in April 2013. However upon contacting ADT Vusi advised us that it's possible to take over the contract.

Much to our surprise, a new contract was taken out in My Wife's name for 24 Months, but we Moved out of the house in December 2012, but ADT refuses to cancel the contract even after April 2013. They have indicated that its not their problem, and we should pay even if we don't live in the property anymore. The owner of the property has asked ADT to move the contract to his name but they claim he cannot be found, baffled at this, he had a contract with ADT but now he can't be found???

ADT has sent our names to the credit bureau and currently we are unable to get credit to buy a property due to this. Your agents have been nothing but a disgrace to your company. Hope someone who is serious looks into this matter urgently...
