Unreasonable service, not willing to own up!!

I have an account with Dstv, in 2010 December i didnt pay my subscription, and as per the norm i assumed that Dstv had disconnected my services so i took my decoder off the socket. a few months later i wanted to pay my account and was told that i now owe for 3 months as my services were not disconnected for 3 months. now, i ask Dstv whos fault is it that their system made an error and didnt disconnect the services, which i must now pay for their error.

i am very disappointed as i have sent emails and made calls to Dstv, to no avail and my query is still not resolved even up to now being 2013, more than 2 years later.
