Not keeping up to their word

I took an insurance for my parents 2 months before they went on vacation, upon their return the PVR has been struck by lightning including TV. If my memory serves right i was told that there is no waiting period and it will be replaced and i wont even have to take it in they'll send a new one and collect the damaged one. Surprisingly now i have to take it in for inspection... how am i suppose to do that while im in Port Elizabeth? Im so appaulled as your sales people will do anything to sell and get commission.
