PVR and decoder struck by lightning

Recreation & Entertainment

We have insured our Decoder and PVR via multi choice insurance. The TV, decoder and PVR were struck by lightning on Tuesday 02 April 2013. My husband took everything to Multi Choice Standerton (Teletronics) on Wednesday 03 April 2013. My husband was told that the items will be sent in to check if they are repairable and if they are repairable we will get them after 7 working days. On Saturday 13 April 2013 around 11:30 I went past the Multi Choice offices to ask for the letter declaring that the TV cannot be repaired and just to check the status of the recorders as 7 working days has passed and we heard nothing from them. The black African lady assisted me with the letter and I also checked the decoder's for me but she could only find 1 and she told me to enquire with ladies at the counter. When I got to the counter the lady just became rude and tells me that the Decoder is not there but I showed it to her then had an argument she tells me that my decoder s are damaged and We will be receiving refurbished ones as per the insurance terms and conditions. Clause "5 of the contract does not say that. We had a big fight. I felt very humiliated and treated unfairly. The service.
