Money deducted off account but NO SERVICE!!!

On the 10th of Jan I registered as a DSTV Premium subscriber, Multichoice subsequently deducted R650 from my account. The service was running fine until tonight (Sun 13 Jan) when I recieved an Error 16 message. I subsequently called Multichoice and spoke to an operator, whom assured me that the fault lay on their side and not because of a billing issue, I have the bank statements to prove this statement. After 16 minutes on the phone and no progress the phone cut out and they did not even bother to call me back! I then called back only to speak to a different operator with a very different explanation as to why I received the error message. He told me that it was because I have not paid, to my dismay I told him this was not the case as I was R650 poorer. How can Multichoice charge me for services NOT RENDERED?

I expect this issue to be rectified immediately or a call from someone who has the ability and authority to actually assist me in this regard.
