I can't believe how as consumers in South Africa we get riped off by these monopolistic companies such as Multi-choice. Do we really need a Thuli Mandonsela or nationalisation to look after us? My DSTV account was due on the 21st which I normally pay by debit order however the payment didn't go through and I deposited the money directly into my DSTV account on Saturday 26th. Two days later my services is disconnected and I've to pay a reconnection. When I questioned this kind of Ripe off apparently I agreed to the terms and conditions that all the urgent had to say. Been a DSTV premier subscriber for over 7 years I feel cheated and taken advantage off by DSTV. This is total abuse of the consumer, why should I get penalised twice (phone bill & reconnection fee) when the money is already in your account?
