Waiting for a refund and now everyone is on leave

At the beginning of December 2013, I phoned to downgrade my package. The payment for December had gone off my bank account a few days prior to my call. I was told that the refund would be done within 10-14 working days. It has been longer than this and the refund still does not reflect in my bank account. I phoned the call centre today only to be told that no-one was available to help with my query because the journals department was closed until 8 January. I eventually spoke to the inbound supervisor and she told me that the reason it had not been done yet is because the person who captured it originally did it incorrectly. She said that when the journals department opened on 8 January, that I would then have to wait another 14 working days for the refund to be processed. So because someone at Multichoice was incompetent and didn't process my refund correctly, they have R622 of my money and are earning interest on it. This cannot be legal!
