Dont want to help/supply parts

My DSTV HD PVR decoder's internal cooling fan broke. Multichoice refuse to supply or help in any way and insist i buy a new decoder of R2500! After some searching done myself i found a new fan for R69, 00.My question is why do they insist on me buying a new decoder and not prepared to help me in anyway? This after i'm a customer for 25 years paying my subs every month!
This is really bad bad service from a company of their size and this is the type of service i get, i am utterly disgusted in Multichoice
