Ster-Kinekor
Disgusting movie experience

My boyfriend and I decided to go watch Hunger Games at the Ster Kinekor in Sandton City. As we arrived I pointed out a faint smell of something that could have been sewerage but I paid no mind. We bought our tickets, bought our popcorn and drinks and headed to cinema 2 for the 17:45 show. We were seated in K 16 and 17. Immediately there was an overwhelming smell of sewerage. It kept coming and going but it was just getting stronger. Eventually we couldn't take it and moved seats which led to us leaving the cinema. We didn't finish the movie because the smell was so bad. We couldn't even eat our popcorn. This is totally unacceptable as we came there to enjoy a movie and relax but ended up leaving feeling sick to our stomachs. There was also a constant sound of dripping water behind the wall which was very distracting. We are very disappointed in SK and will not be returning to this one ever again.
