Me and my husband had a normal DStv decoder. We bought a PVR in August. This was to make our life easier - my husband can watch the rugby, and I can record my programs. No more fighting. We were very excited. My husband phoned and explained we bought a PVR, the operator helped us with the connection etc. Great, we had PVR. BUT... we could not record, did not have tv guide, or could do anything. After how many phone calls, updates were loaded, thing were reset, and finally we could use all functions on the PVR decoder. BUT... the stupid operator we spoke to 1st, NEVER cancelled our 1st decoder, resulting in MultiChoice billing us for 2 decoders! It has now been 4 months, and still Multichoice wants both decoders monthly premium from us, each month we have to phone the call centre, scream and shout and explain, 2 hours later, and then we can watch tv again for the month. WE HAVE ONE TELEVISION!!! Can't get them to sort this out over the telephone, supervisor useless. Multichoice has the monopoly, so we have to have DStv. Redicoulous and pathetic service. Wish there was another network we can switch to.
