Hail and pieces of roof falling down

On Thursday afternoon, my family and I visited the Dome to attend the Baby Expo. It started raining/hailing quite heavily - not unheard of for this time of the year. All of a sudden, people started running in all directions and there was a general sense of panic as pieces of the actual roof was falling down and hitting people. Hail was also hitting people on their heads. Security guards were also rushing around and you could see something was wrong. What I want to know is - is the Dome safe? And if so, why is this happening? What if the Dome collapsed on the thousands of people and their babies because their health and safety standards are clearly not up to scratch. Shocking!!!
