WHAT'S THE USE OF HAVING A DEBIT ORDER

We have a debit order in place for our account, we upgrade and downgrade regularly. we upgraded last week and the following day our account was diconnected. after calling the call centre and spending quite some rands waiting we were told that the system changed a few weeks prior and you have to make payment within 24 hours of the upgrade. how were we supposed to know that??? all the cost of our previous upgrades were taken via debit order. i informed the lady i did not have money now as we just celebrated our daughters 1st birthday and requested them to deduct when the debit order runs, she explained they couldnt and reconnected the tv saying it would disconnect the following day again. we are at day 4 of disconnecting and me calling to reconnect and being charged reconnection fees. i find this very upsetting as we would not have upgraded if we new the system had changed and we did not have money to pay. i refuse to stay without tv, cause i feel multichoice did not inform us of the change. also seeing as we do have a debit order in place which runs sucessfully i cannot understand why they cannot reconnect us. i refuse to borrow money for this!
