Forced to book two nights

I Work Saturdays as i manage a Branch so i can only effectively take 1 night to go somewhere for the weekend its my wife's birthday and would love to take her and our son to Sun city but due to a policy of 2 nights booking only i cannot that to me is not a fair policy if there are rooms available why can i not book it?? ive been down this road before...
