Not willing to go the extra mile

I tried to book 2 rooms for one night at the Cabanas at Sun City. The reservation call centre said I needed to book for two nights but still, the place is full given the SAMAs. However, there are about 11 other websites (all international) offering accommodation for one night and meeting my request. I will not pay additional currency charges to book a place in my own country. Pleading for some sort of arrangement with Sun International reservations that given I'm bringing guests from Taiwan with me, could you not assist in any way. I was told to book on the other sites and my pleading was plainly rejected. I have decided instead to be staying at the game reserve next door (paying twice the amount for each room) because they pulled through and assisted me better. At this point in time, I couldn't be interested in staying at a Sun International hotel ever. I will also make sure that through my extensive global travels and my well visited blogs to spread the word of the type of service one could expect from Sun International hotels and reservations (Live your dream - forget it). Moral of the story, don't forget your roots!!!
